Should a restaurant reconcile DoorDash from the Transactions screen or the finalized Payouts data?

DoorDash estimated transactions versus finalized payouts

DoorDash statementsField guide 16 of 52

DoorDash describes the Transactions view as an estimate and the Payouts view as finalized payment data with the order-level detail included in the settlement. For a weekly close, start with the finalized payout ID and its included transactions. Keep the estimated view only as an operating cross-check.

If an operator compares an estimated transaction total with a later bank deposit, timing and post-order amendments can look like a shortage even when the finalized payout is internally correct. Anchor the bridge to the payout record, then test the deposit and contract separately.

— What working formula does this answer use?

Finalized sales − commission and fees − marketing spend + amendments = expected net payout
